The Smith Legacy Story
Smith Legacy Enterprises LLC is built on the core values established by my grandparents, Johnnie McNeil and Ella Ree Smith. Originally from Hollandale, MS, they moved to Gary, IN, where they operated several grocery storefronts dedicated to serving their community. Known for their reliability, my grandfather became the first Black machinist at Amoco Oil Company while providing essential transportation services locally; he was a stern yet deeply caring man. My grandmother embodied grace and elegance, leaving a lasting impression on everyone with her big heart and warmth. They were community pillars focused on service and compassion. I intend to honor that legacy by providing exceptional vending and amenity upgrades that enhance the experience for both staff and customers across all our service areas.
